So, Kevin long, what do you do that requires you to OSHA training?

So I'm a project engineer for a construction company that works in the environmental space.
We do all sorts of major construction projects, from large projects to small projects that require OSHA training from the 4030 ten hour and then the 8 hour refresher every year.
The the trainings that we do just depend on on the position you hold and what what you do. And and we we use the OSHA training one. It's it's required, but more importantly, there is a benefit of the training that that you, you you realized as you're moving through it.
We work from heights we we work with heavy equipment. We work with electrical. And all of these things are dangerous for you. So if you're a new employee coming in, it's a good kind of baseline. But even for experienced people, the it's a good refresher to say I've been doing this a lot. Kind of complacency sets in at different times with everybody, no matter what industry you're in. But just to kind of have that extra reminder to let you know that.
We're in a industry where people get hurt, they get hurt on a daily basis. Some small you might. You might just have to stop work for a couple minutes just to kind of catch your breath and go back to work. Sometimes you're you're out of out of the industry forever because of the severity of the injury. So the OSHA training has a good place in my eyes in the the workforce, especially with the work that we do.
In any kind of construction, because everybody has a different sense of what's safe, everybody comes from different backgrounds and gives you kind of a baseline for the the training that that you're doing and and the things that you should be looking out for in your training process.
The I've been doing this for about 10 years and and.
A lot of things that I've I've come to realize fall down to complacency.
And knowing your limitations, which I think the OSHA training helps provide a good background for, it's kind of that extra reminder once a year that says guys really need to take a deep breath and and look at where you're at and and what your your plan is and.
How you're going about doing that?
